How much does it cost to place an advert? |
The cost to place an advert, publish your own links or publish your own calendar events is entirely free.
We do require you to register which is a simple process which takes just a few minutes. Once you have registered you manage you own adverts, links and calendar events.
You can come back to the site at any time to make updates.

How long will an advert remain on the site? |

The advert will remain on the site until the seller indicates that it has been sold.

What is the ideal size of the image to upload? |
|
The image type must be in the .JPG format and ideally be 130px X 130px, 72dpi and compressed to 60%.
The jpg image you upload will be resized to 130px X 130px (maintaining the aspect ration) for display.
To save download times it makes sense for you to reduce the image size first.
Please do not reduce to less than 130px X 130px. Depending on the size of your photo and the speed of your Internet connection, it may take a minute or two to upload your image.
Please note that this process will replace any previous image.

I don't have a digital image of the item I wish to sell, what can I do? |
You can still place the advert but without an image it will appear only in the classified listings and not on the front page.
If you have a suitable photograph you can mail it (please include a SAE for it's return) to :-

It will be scanned and added to your advert free of charge.

What must I do when the item has been sold? |
|
When the item has been sold you need to edit the advert to place a check mark in the 'Sold' field. The Image will automatically be marked up as sold
and the advert will no longer be available to edit.
The advert will be removed by the system when the advertising space is required by new adverts. |

What are advert statistics and how do I view them? |
Advert statistics allow you to see how many times a site visitor has clicked on your advert - either from
the front page if you have an image or from the classified listing page if you don't.
The statistics also allow you see how many enquiries have been made direct from the site. Any enquires are sent to you at the time by email but you can also view them as part of the advert
stats as well.
To view your adverts stats, logon and click on your advert, for adverts in the classified listings click on the edit link.

Some adverts appear on the Front Page others in the Classified Listings - whats going on? |
Did you upload an image?
If you upload an image then the advert will appear on the Front Page - if you don't upload an image the advert will appear in the Classified Listings area instead.
You can add or remove your image (not sure why some one would want to do that) and your advert will move between the Front Page and the Classified Listings area of the site accordingly.
